In Calpe its impossible to avoid visiting the Rock of Ifach , it is a fine specimen of the Nature Reserve and an isolated example that has been swept deeper out to sea upto the tip of Carallot. At the foot of Peñon you can find the old salt mines and around it also forms an important ecological place, above all, for migratory birds. The cliffs, coves and fine sandy beaches form a streamlined coast.
